Forbearance and tolerance are ethical principles that influence different aspects of personal and social life. Although the necessity of exercising it in personal life is obvious, its significance in politics and state is in dispute and needs to be studied precisely.
Imam Ali (AS) as a divine governor has clearly and without any vagueness defined many features of governing in his words and performance. It is necessary to study this issue as one of the ethnical aspects of Imam's administration, in order to be a guide for all the statemen and officials to modify their approach and performance, following His example.
