Abstract

Analyzing Concepts requires a historical look at the developments around Its. interpretive Concepts are not excluded from this category. The third verse of Surah Nisa is considered a suitable case for the analysis of interpretative concepts. The lack of a clear connection between (وَ إِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلاَّ تُقْسِطُوا فِی الْیَتامى) and its answer has created the difficulty of interpretation, the solution of which is a long-standing concern of exegetes, Quran scholars, jurists, and even hadith scholars. The result of this study over the centuries has produced views that are categorized under three Concepts. Part of these interpretive theories, relying on the context and another part relying on The reason for the revelation of the verses. These two concepts discover the relationship within the verse, which are analyzed under the title of "context-based concept" and " The concept based on the reason for the revelation of the Qur'an ". Other views do not believe any connection within the verse. This interpretive concepts forms an " concept based on distortion and discontinuity".

Based on the historical study of interpretive sources, the upcoming research aims to analyze the above three notions, so as to determine the factors of formation, development or decline of each notion in different periods of time. As a result, in the light of the efforts of the hadith scholars and some hadith-oriented commentators, the "" concept based on the reason for the revelation " had the chance to become a superior and be noticed by the commentators.
