The great Iranian philosopher, Sadrolmoto'allehin Shirazi, eminent 10 philosophy and wisdom, was also skilled in the interpretation of the Holy Quran, although from this aspect of his knowledge has not been thoroughly recognised. This paper has examined his method in interpreting Quran and detected his vast knowledge in philosophy and mysticism, his acquaintance with the infallibles' traditions and his concern about theological and dogmatic issues. In this article his most important sources in his exegesis and his precise and thoughtful point of views reached by contemplating on quranic verses has been introduced.
