‘Ayishah Abdorrahman, known as Bint- Ashshati, is one of the Arab scholars and contemporary experts on Quranic studies whose Quranic views have witnessed much attention in these last several decades. According to her own explanations, she has been under the influence of the linguistic school propagated by her teacher, Amin Khuli. It can be said, therefore, that “al-tafsir al-Bayani”, one of her most prominent works, is the result of her thoughts nourished from that of Amin Khuli.of her most important principles in understanding Quran are the following:
1-The unity of subject in the suras which have been revealed entirely at once and in the segments revealed simultaneously in other suras;
2-No synonymy in Quran;
3-No enforcement of grammatical rules on Quran;
4-Intertexuality of Quranic verses.
In this article Ayishah bint-Ashshati has been introduced and Amin Khuli’s viewpoints concerning the linguistic school of interpretation and these four principles due to their key role in Bint-Ashshati’s interpreting method have been discussed.
