Structuralism, as a contemporary linguistic theory, offers a comprehensive approach to understanding discourse by examining written texts from multiple dimensions. Within this framework, linguistic signs consist of form and content, functioning as a unified entity that serves the meaning of the discourse. Therefore, when analyzing literary works, one must not only focus on the content and meaning but also consider how meaning is articulated across various levels. This approach ultimately allows for a holistic assessment of literary works. Employing structuralism theory in analyzing profound sermons such as Lady Zainab's sermon in Sham enhances the illuminating aspects of her words. This study aims to further familiarize readers with the aforementioned sermon and seeks to answer the following questions: Are the components of structuralism applicable to this sermon? What is the level of coherence and harmony between the form and content of the sermon? The research method utilized is descriptive-analytical and based on library resources. Initially, the text of the sermon is presented, followed by a structural analysis of its various phonetic, lexical, syntactic, and rhetorical dimensions. The findings indicate that the linguistic structure of the sermon, in accordance with its temporal context, exhibits significant argumentative and reasoning features, effectively employing the subtleties of semantics and the nuances of rhetoric and stylistics. Consequently, it can be concluded that the components of structuralism are entirely applicable to the sermon.
