When the transfer of the concept found a professional and specialized form, the word "debate" and its various forms also appeared, and a new profession called "engineering of debates and examining their foundations" was formed.
Historical certainties have been given special attention in Quranic debates and in a way, it is modeled in this holy book for success in debates.
To write this study, after reviewing all the verses of the Quran and thinking about them and examining abundant sources of different interpretations, a new achievement that is, showing emphasis on historical facts in Quranic debates, has been placed at the disposal of Quran scholars and seekers of Quranic methods for discussion and debate and four of the most important verses in this field in the Quran have been introduced and discussed. The examples presented in this research prove that the Holy Qur'an clearly started the version of organizing debates by relying on historical facts, emphasizing the observance of historical facts in the formation of ideological and legal discourses.
Insisting on an issue that contradicts certain historical events is invalid. A debate based on a definite date can be one of the examples of the best controversy. A comparative study of the opinions of Shia and Sunni commentators indicates the unity of their opinions about the basis of historical certainties for debates.
