Coherence of the text of the Holy Qur'an has a long history in the Qur'anic studies and originated in the first Islamic centuries, as the acceptance of the coherence of the holy text of Qur'an is reflected in the issues of relevance of the verses and suras (Tanasub/ Mumasabat al-Ayat va al-Sovar), some Qur'an interpretations and works named Nazm al-Qur'an and Ijaz al- Qur'an. Nevertheless, the Qur'anic scholars did not have the same attitudes and approaches to this issue, especially in contemporary time that there are new theories and works written on this question by Muslim and non-Muslim scholars in different parts of the world, indicating inconsistent approaches and different methods to prove it. Therefore, in this present paper we adopted an analytical-historical approach to the study of this thought, the types of approaches, the origins and methods of Quranic scholars on the coherence of the text of the Qur'an.
