The forgiveness of humans solely due to their belief in God's knowledge of their actions is a common narration among both Shia and Sunni traditions, which falls under the category of problematic hadiths. The problem with these narrations arises from their apparent implication that a servant can be forgiven without repentance and seeking forgiveness, merely by believing in God's knowledge of their actions. This research, by analyzing the chains of these narrations, considering their origins, validating the sources, analyzing the approaches of scholars from both traditions, and paying attention to other textual evidence in related narrations, attempts to describe and analyze the semantic aspects of this group of hadiths. The outcome of this analysis is the development of a new theory, alongside the opinions of other scholars, which results from considering the co-occurrence and thematic similarity of these narrations with the narrations in the chapters of "Regret and Confession" by Sheikh Kulayni and Sheikh Hurr al-Amili, and the emphasis on "the servant's belief in sin and submission to God's judgment." With this perspective, the narrations that indicate the sufficiency of belief in God's knowledge of actions for forgiveness are considered absolute narrations that, when combined with other textual evidence and related narrations, are removed from their absolute status and are understood as an initial condition and one of the main requirements for forgiveness.
